In this advanced seminar, students will explore timely issues surrounding the interactive and motion arts. Investigation of game theory and practice will be set within the framework of contemporary design culture. Within this context, the intellectual, aesthetic, technological and economic developments that have shaped the evolution of the interactive and motion arts will be examined and new emerging domains investigated. The future of this rapidly changing field and the implications for those people entering the field will be imagined. Course content includes critical readings, group discussions, guest speakers, case studies and individual research on a selected topic.
