This course examines drawing's foundational relationship to contemporary art practice and experience. Students will consider expanded notions of "drawing" and "practice" through the creation of works that span multiple media, approaches, and concepts. Assigned readings and exhibition/studio visits will frame class projects and foster critical discussion. Students will propose, develop, and complete a final self-directed drawing project.
