FDC240/Studio/01 - Editing I | Credits 3.00
Introducing students to the art of editing through screenings, lectures, discussions, and critique, this course prepares students to use non-linear editing systems to craft their story in post production. Learning standard industry practices, students will employ studied techniques through workshops and exercises while experimenting with structure, pacing, rhythm, and graphics. Students will edit exercises and short films to gain confidence to create longer pieces. Course objectives: - Develop and implement industry standard organizational methodes of editing. - Utilize post production terminology/vocabulary specific to editing during critique and discussions - Identify and assess the various methods of storytelling through editing
