IL220/Studio/02 - Illustration Practices | Credits 3.00
An introduction to the process of creating concepts from ideas and its visual communication to a contemporary audience. Through directed studio assignments and demonstrations, students are introduced to the methodology of an illustrator: generating ideas; visualization; research; preliminary studies or roughs; comprehensives and the finished picture. A variety of relevant media, materials and techniques are explored. Lectures on the working methods of historic and contemporary illustrators supplement the course work. Based on the scope of a student's project or level of study there may be additional costs for materials and supplies. Satisfies: Major Requirement
