In this course, both classic and contemporary children's book and magazine illustration and other areas of illustration pertaining to children's interests are explored. Students learn the working procedures associated with this discipline: layout, book dummies, thumbnail sketches with positioning of type, storyboards and finished art. Based on the scope of a student's project or level of study there may be additional costs for materials and supplies. Satisfies: Studio Elective
