2026 Spring Main Session
AGA390/Studio/02 - Junior Production | Credits 3.00
In this advanced course, students will integrate the aesthetic, technical, and conceptual competencies acquired in prior coursework to design and implement a sustained, long-form project aligned with their focus in Animation, Game Arts, or hybrid media that incorporates both motion and interactivity. Through rigorous production planning, in-depth research, and individualized skill development in both craft and software, students will cultivate a dynamic and increasingly autonomous creative practice. Regular critique, both in group settings and individual consultations with faculty, will support students in contextualizing their work within the broader field of Animation and Game Arts. Peer engagement and dialogue will foster a collaborative environment in which students provide critical, inclusive, and constructive feedback. Learning Objectives By the end of the course, students will be able to: • Develop and implement a comprehensive production schedule for a long-form creative project • Complete a semester-long project within their chosen discipline (Animation, Game Arts, or Hybrid Media) • Demonstrate advanced research methods tailored to overcoming creative and technical challenges through group critique and discussions with faculty • Identify and troubleshoot production obstacles, including the ability to adapt project scope and direction as needed
