In contemporary industries, a significant portion of 2D animation, ranging from commercials to network television content, is produced with the assistance of advanced digital tools. This course will equip students with specialized techniques in Digital 2D Animation, utilizing industry-standard software such as Toon Boom, Adobe After Effects, and Maya. Topics explored in this course include, but are not limited to, digital puppetry, 2D rigging for animation, 2.5D isometric effects, compositing, and post-processing techniques specific to 2D animation. Through this curriculum, students will develop the skills necessary to create professional-grade 2D animated content using contemporary digital methods.
