AGA220/Studio/03 - Animation II | Credits 3.00
This course introduces students to 3D animation with a focus on character and acting. Starting with very simple objects, students will graduate to more complex animations involving highly articulated, pre-built characters. Believable character performance will be achieved through attention to both body mechanics and personality. Students will also engage in a variety of exercises to support this goal, notably drawing exercises, acting techniques, and improvisational strategies. Course Objectives: - Utilize industry-standard tools to produce 3D animated images - Apply the principles of animation in a 3D animation environment -Successfully navigate the 3D rendering pipeline - Animate a pre-rigged 3D character - Develop a short 10-30 second short/reel that utilizes the skills and techniques learned during the course
