The first step in almost any production that requires movement is the storyboard. From the big screen to the ads on the small screens in your hand, it all starts with a storyboard. In this course, students will learn all the skills and techniques necessary for translating a script into images. Storyboarding will also introduce students to narrative and experimental storytelling strategies with a focus on composition, flow, and cinematography. This course will culminate with students creating a refined animatic Course objectives: -Understand and implement Storyboarding techniques and strategies - Analyze and discuss storyboards with appropriate aesthetic and technical criteria -Identify, analyze, and use narrative strategies -Clearly and effectivly utilize cinematography, camera movements, and framing as compositional and narritive tools when translating a script into a storyboard.
