Special Topics in Art Therapy is a student-centered exploration of the diverse field of art therapy, designed to accommodate the varied interests of students within an Art and Design context. This course offers a flexible platform for exploring a wide range of topics, such as creative arts therapies (dance/movement,poetry, music, drama), therapeutic interventions, play therapy, digital media in art therapy, career paths, and community practices. Through creative exploration, engaging discussions, and personal projects, students will gain a broader understanding of art therapy's role in different settings. The course culminates ina personalized project that allows students to explore a topic of their choice, expanding their knowledge and contributing their unique perspectives to the field.
