In this seminar-based course, students will explore current issues in lens-based media through readings, research, discussion, and presentation of projects. Each week students will read articles, watch films, and listen to lectures relating to an issue surrounding contemporary photographic practice. Students will have thoughtful discussions about each week’s topic. Students will conduct research in support of their thesis project/paper. Each student will lead one class discussion around their research topics. All students will make a final presentation based on their research.
