The Art and Design of Virtual Reality explores VR as a transformative medium and tool for creativity, focusing on its potential rather than its production. Open to all majors, this interdisciplinary course examines VR’s history, affordances, and societal implications through the lenses of art, storytelling, education, and social applications. Students will engage in philosophical discussions, analyze representations of VR in fiction and media, and use cutting-edge VR tools for active artmaking.
