2013 Grad Spring Main Session
IDGR654/Studio/01 - Directed Research | Credits 3.00
This course builds upon the investigation of the thesis topic in Design Specialty Research. The student develops a tightly focused thesis proposal that reflects advanced research, analysis, synthesis and assessment of design principles and theories in relationship to social, economic and environmental contexts. Students write a detailed program for the thesis project. Half of the class is devoted to writing the program and half to its application to the schematic design phase of the thesis project. Based on the scope of a student's project or level of study there may be additional costs for materials and supplies.
