DM101 - Digital Design: Intro to Adobe
Photoshop and Illustrator and After Effects, oh my! Adobe Creative Suite provides boundless opportunities for imaginative professionals. In this course, develop proficiency in the basic design tools and protocols of Adobe Creative Suite’s major programs and unlock your inner creativity for personal projects, professional growth and beyond. This course will place combined emphasis on acquiring hardware and software skills with an understanding of design fundamentals in contemporary digital design. Class projects include creating, importing and editing images, as well as text and graphics in a variety of formats to develop a better understanding of computer-aided design, digital workflow and visual communication. If you are interested in graphic design and looking to gain the technical skills to bring your ideas to life, this is the class for you! Prerequisites: Basic computer and internet navigation skills. Please note: this course is intended for students with basic or intermediate experience in the area of Digital Design. This course should be taken as the first or second course in the Digital Design Certificate sequence.
