This course presents the vocabulary and processes of apparel textile production and marketing. Lectures cover the relationship between the fashion and textile markets as well as fabric names, fibers, yarns, weaving, knits, dyeing and printing and other processes. Students begin a collection of fabric swatches, which is utilized in future coursework.
