This online course provides candidates with a global and historical survey of interior traditions and styles as a critical context for present-day design. A continuation of History of Interiors I, this course follows a chronology that begins with the Industrial Revolution and continues through the Modern Movement. In discussion threads, questions, and written assignments, candidates will analyze the major issues of design in an historical context and as part of a theoretical and technological design continuum.
