IDGR647OL - Building Codes
This online course examines code concepts that affect the interior design profession with emphasis on interpreting the IBC (International Building Code), the impact of ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) standards, and the expectations of the NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) exam. Candidates will examine building use and occupancy classification, loads and egress, building type and construction classification, and fire resistive material and assembly restrictions through case studies. In exams, candidates will analyze the code process and how it affects building systems.
