IL314 - Digital Techniques for Illustrators
In Digital Techniques for Illustrators the student applies software concepts, techniques and tools to simulate pictorial images generally associated with traditional tactile painting media. Today, this technique is ubiquitous in contemporary illustration and associated conceptual and imaginative production art. Utilizing the most current digital graphics software, the course introduces students to the skills required for digitally developed illustrations. Structured in-class exercises and longer-term digital painting and illustration projects are supplemented by lectures and demonstrations.

Corel Painter is the core digital painting medium that will be used in conjunction with other digital graphics software applications. Structured in-class exercises and longer-term digital painting and illustration projects are supplemented by lectures and demonstrations.
