SADIFD04 - Fashion Print Design
Study fabric print design and its application in the apparel market. Students will design an illustration of a fashion ensemble, and focus on how prints will be integrated into their creations. Students will create a variety of painted surface designs with gouache and paper, and understand its relationship to printed cloth. This includes painted color techniques such as: flat, dry brush, watercolor. Students will learn the textile design process from paper layouts in full repeat to finished painted designs. This course will emphasize the development of a design concept in relation to fashion aesthetics and print design.
