SEGR620 - Pathways Through Research and Writing
This seminar explores the vital role of writing and research to the success of projects based in social practice. A series of methods and research tactics will be covered that span a range of disciplines to reflect the nomadic, and interdisciplinary nature of social practice as a medium. Through feedback from the instructor and peer review, candidates will develop a common critical language and improve their ability to successfully communicate with an audience through written language. Exclusive to candidates earning an MA in Art & Social Engagement, the course provides a foundational base for original writing and research on topics of social issues surrounding global economics, cultural identity, contemporary art and social justice.
