YFD024 - Fashion Design & Constructio II 9th-12th
Sewing instruction for the advanced student. There is a strong emphasis on technical skill development, garment construction and advanced draping techniques. Learn dart manipulations and how to draft a basic bodice, sleeve shirt and trouser. In-depth study of textiles, fiber classifications, and finishes will also be addressed. The end of the semester presents an opportunity to show select finished garments during the highly anticipated Young Artists Workshop Family & Friends Day Fashion show. *This class has a maximum enrollment of 12 students so register early. Prerequisite: Fashion Design and Construction I or equivalent experience.
