The Career Preparation course prepares students for the required internship to be done in the fall or spring term. In this course, students will be expected to develop critical professional skills, including job research and evaluation of appropriate opportunities, networking, writing resumes and cover letters, preparing a portfolio, practicing interview techniques and conducting a placement search. Relevant networking opportunities with guests from the field will occur to acquaint students with career possibilities and professional expectations. The signed internship contract must be on file with the Career Center before the student's internship time begins to accrue. Based on the scope of a student's project or level of study there may be additional costs for materials and supplies.
