User Interface Design (UI) is the process web designers use to visually guide users through a product’s interface via interactive elements across all platforms in ways that communicate the brand’s strengths and assets. Students in this class will learn the fundamentals of UI, which plays a multi-faceted and essential role in successful web design. You’ll learn to make content and layout come alive in an attractive and responsive ways, focusing on design, implementation, and evaluation. This course explores the principles and practices of user interface development, covering how to design excellent interfaces, techniques for building sophisticated interactive interfaces, and techniques for evaluating and measuring interface usability. You will learn industry-standard theory and methods for developing successful interfaces based on using CSS frameworks, JS code libraries and emerging technologies such as Sketch and InVision. Prerequisites: Web Design II or equivalent knowledge.
