Students will design, construct and launch their portfolio website. In addition to designing static and animated graphical visuals, students will learn to incorporate marketing and e-commerce website elements. Social media will also be investigated as a means of marketing their work. This course will work in tandem with Game Project and/or Mobile Media projects to provide students with an opportunity to launch their portfolio as a means of gaining user feedback, attracting a following, and learning about revenue potential. Focus will be placed on visual design, interface design, user navigation and technical proficiency. Students will be expected to build upon and expand their software and technical knowledge: Java Script, Flash, Dreamweaver, HTML5, and FTP/Domain setup.
