Acquiring proficiency in the fundamentals of illustrative picture making is the focus of these courses. Through structured studio assignments and lectures students are exposed to the process of developing illustrative pictures. The instruction emphasizes the relevant drawing and painting approaches necessary for the graphic translation of an idea. The systematic process of critically evaluating your own work is introduced to better prepare the student for the successful interaction of one's illustrative pictures with their target audience. Based on the scope of a student's project or level of study there may be additional costs for materials and supplies. Satisfies: Major Requirement
