2024 Spring Main Session
AGA302/Studio/02 - Game Projects
|
Credits
3.00
In this course, students will learn the fundamentals of how games are made. They will build upon the gaming foundation skills learned in Gamemaker during the Game Strategies course. Individual and team projects will be assigned and students will be expected to work collaboratively within technical constraints. The second half of the semester focuses on the completion of a project. Projects focus on the development of high-level skills with an emphasis on incorporating student art into a game engine environment. Students will work within a faculty-define, pre-defined game framework that is based around real-world limitations as a means to become familiar with the pipelining process that requires work to be completed within a set of standards. Projects will be designed to encourage creative visual problem solving by affording students the opportunity to experiment with a variety of media.
