A strong typographic foundation is laid in conjunction with an overview of historic type classification and history. Methods of applied formal and conceptual problem solving are introduced, using posters, book jackets, and type-centric applications as vehicles for the study of composition and hierarchy of information. Based on the scope of a student’s project or level of study there may be additional costs for materials and supplies. Satisfies Major Requirement for Graphic Design and Illustration.
