This course explores color and design, including color modes and compositional approaches for the screen. Topics in color include RGB for light-based projects such as broadcast, CMYK and flat colors for print projects, and hexadecimal for interactive projects. Topics in 2D design include the elements of form and principles of composition in relation to the picture plane, screen and motion graphics. Coursework is designed to develop skills in effective design process and to increase awareness of aesthetic options through a variety of problem solving approaches. No prerequisites. (Online)
